staff profiles

Hi I am Beck, I started working at Nardy house in January 2018 after working as a support worker in special education for 12 years in schools on the far south coast as well as out at Bourke in the red desert. I feel very lucky to be a care worker at Nardy House with the many wonderful people that live and work there. I have a deep love of nature and love introducing people to the joys of the garden and the great outdoors. I feel very privileged to be able to work with such a diverse array of people and find much joy in learning the intricate characters and needs of the residence and what makes them smile and laugh. I am a mother of two children who I have brought up in the forested mountains nearby, and have been living here full time since 1999.

CEO Denise Redmond

Nardy House was originally a Committee of Bega Valley Shire Council. (Over 20 years ago). I was Chairperson of that Committee. I was employed by the NHI Board as the Project Manager when the organization separately incorporated The respite house was built and the permanent accommodation was finalized. When NHI took over as an NGO supervising service provision I was employed as a CEO (part-time). I am still employed as Project Manager and CEO.I am the conduit between Management, staff and the NHI Board. I liaise with government and non-government agencies. My role is varied and involves decision making on behalf of the Board on a day-to day basis. The Board directs the actions I take and I take matters to the Board through reports, presentations, representations, or motions. I work very closely with the Service Manager. My first priority are the clients who access Nardy House.

Title: Specialized Respite Stay Planner.

My name is Nathan and I look after Nardy House’s social media presence online and the website I also co-ordinate specialised respite stays, plan activities for these stays and make the clients feel comfortable. . I moved to this area from Perth as a teenager and now live in Brogo with my Dad and brother. I love living on the farm as it is nice and quiet with no annoying neighbours! When I can find time I make digital music with my laptop. After running into difficulty selling my music online I decided to create my own digital platform for myself, and other like minded people, to sell music online. Hardly a challenge !! I have been at it for about three years so far but  nearly there and hoping to launch very soon, fingers crossed! My vision for Nardy House is for people to be able to come and have holiday stays here and experience what the Sapphire Coast has to offer.
